Delivering our future city: East Frame Public Spaces, a view from above

The East Frame is a new community being built in the heart of the city.  It is one of the projects in the programme of Crown-led Anchor Projects being delivered by Otakaro Limited. The East Frame will include the central city’s third largest park. City Care JFC joint venture began work on the park in October 2016. The work programme requires high levels of coordination and attention to detail in order to successfully choreograph the multiple and varied work fronts that are taking place at the same time.

Most of our work will be done within an enclosed construction site, but we will also be doing some work on the street. This is when we will be the most visible to the public.

In order to give you an understanding of the scale of work that we are currently undertaking, we went above and beyond for a bird’s eye view.

The East Frame will also be developed into medium density housing for around 2000 people. The first of these housing developments is expected to get underway in a couple of weeks time.

City Care JFC expect to finish work on the East Frame public spaces in the first quarter of 2018.
