The JV team based at South Frame (Otakaro Anchor Project) have a cause for celebration. They have received a 100% mark in the Otakaro Weekly HSE audit 2 weeks in a row.
Overall, Health and Safety has always been good on the site, with the team often setting the benchmark for the rest of the JV crews. This result gives the South Frame team 3 100% passes in total, with the first one received in 2016 during early days of the South Frame construction.
For the South Frame site, Wayne Priestley JV Health and Safety Manager says the successful result comes down to good leadership. “There is a good team culture in place around Health and Safety. The site managers are constantly driving the importance of health and safety awareness in the work place environment”
John Fitzgerald, JV Project Director believes that the good result is due to the inclusion of a designated Health and Safety role within the JV. “Wayne is now a part of the JV project team, overseeing Health and Safety for the projects that we are delivering for Otakaro. Gaining consistently high results in our Otakaro Health and Safety audits is a result of having him set up physically in our PMO. He is able to interact daily with our staff and our on-site crews and address issues as they arise”
The South Frame team were awarded for their excellent result with a morning tea shout.
