It has been a bit quiet lately on the blog, but that hasn’t meant that our work has slowed down at all. In fact, it’s been the complete opposite. We have had an extremely busy winter on all work fronts in the JV. The team have produced outstanding work through some pretty atrocious winter conditions and we have managed to maintain a high standard of health and safety at the same time.
The first project we are going to reintroduce to you is the East Frame Public Spaces. Comprising of five central city blocks the park will be the third largest in Central Christchurch. The efforts of the JV East Frame project team is becoming more visible with work moving out of the ground. Just over half of the work required will be buried underground and remain unseen by the general public. These are things such as drainage and water pipes and utilities such as electrical and telecommunication cabling. Visible features of the park are taking shape such as the grass mounds and trees area already being planted and park furniture installed. To get a real sense of how far we have some since November 2016 (when we first broke ground) to now (August 2017), compare the two videos below.
